Primary SEN Teacher – Mainstream (Burnley)

About the role

This position is for a passionate primary teacher to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Burnley, working within a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Hub. The role offers the chance to support a small group of pupils with diverse learning needs and to develop inclusive teaching practice.

Key responsibilities

• Teach a small class of 5‑9 pupils within the school's SEN Hub.
• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Support pupils with a range of learning difficulties and additional needs.
• Lead and manage two Special Support Assistants to maximise pupil outcomes.
• Collaborate with the wider school team, parents, and external professionals.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Strong passion for SEN and inclusive education.
• Excellent communication and classroom management abilities.
• Ability to inspire, nurture and motivate pupils with varied needs.
• Previous SEN experience is desirable but not essential.
