Primary Teacher – Full‑time Maternity Cover

About the role
This full‑time maternity cover position is for a primary class teacher at a welcoming mainstream school in Hythe. You will take responsibility for a Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 class for the academic year starting September 2026, delivering high‑quality teaching and supporting pupil progress.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess lessons across the national curriculum.
- Manage classroom behaviour and create an inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff and parents/carers.
- Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching in a primary setting.
- Strong classroom management and organisational abilities.
- Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
- Flexible, reliable and a positive team player.
