Prison Escort (Temporary) – HMP Coldingley

About the role

We are seeking reliable contractors to work as prison escorts at HMP Coldingley. The role involves ensuring the safe movement of Ministry of Justice and non‑MOJ personnel, contractors, tools and vehicles within the establishment on a full‑time, temporary basis.

Key responsibilities

• Book in and escort all contractors, tools and vehicles throughout the prison.
• Maintain up‑to‑date tool inventories and enforce the use of personal protective equipment.
• Supervise contractors at all times and keep accurate records of those in your charge.
• Communicate via radio net and act as first‑on‑scene for incidents, supporting resolution as part of a team.
• Uphold prisoners’ rights and dignity while performing duties.

Required profile

• Honest, reliable and hard‑working with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent team player able to follow instructions and maintain safety standards.
• Willingness to undergo on‑site training and obtain any necessary certifications.

Required skills

• Use of radio communication equipment.
• Knowledge of personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £15.34 inclusive of holiday pay.
• Full‑time 37.5 h/week schedule, Monday‑Friday, with potential overtime.
