Private Client Tax Compliance Portfolio Manager

About the role

Join a respected UK accountancy practice as a Private Client Tax Compliance Portfolio Manager. You will own a diverse portfolio of high‑net‑worth individuals, directors, landlords and trusts, providing both compliance and advisory support while enjoying hybrid working and a collaborative culture.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full Self Assessment compliance process from start to finish.
• Prepare and review complex personal tax returns.
• Advise clients on Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, investment and foreign income.
• Handle trust and partnership tax returns and related HMRC correspondence.
• Process P11Ds and PAYE Settlement Agreements.
• Identify tax planning opportunities, reliefs and allowances.
• Support clients with residency, inheritance tax and capital gains calculations.
• Work alongside Partners on complex advisory projects.
• Mentor junior team members and support their development.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a private client portfolio within a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong UK Private Client Tax Compliance background.
• Ability to work independently and build long‑term client relationships.
• Excellent technical knowledge of personal taxation.
• Proactive, client‑focused approach.
• ATT, CTA qualification or equivalent experience.
