Probate Lawyer – Private Client Team

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Probate Lawyer to join a well‑established Private Client team in Dorset. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of probate and estate administration matters, providing high‑quality advice and support to executors, trustees and beneficiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage probate and estate administration matters from instruction to completion.
• Prepare and submit applications for Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration.
• Advise executors, administrators, trustees and beneficiaries on their duties.
• Administer estates, including collection and distribution of assets.
• Prepare estate accounts and related documentation.
• Provide advice on inheritance tax and related probate issues.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Contribute to the growth and success of the department.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive.
• Minimum 1 year PQE (or equivalent experience) in probate and estate administration.
• Excellent communication and client‑care skills.
• Ability to manage a personal caseload efficiently.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proactive, personable and committed to high service standards.
