Procurement Category Manager – IT/Digital

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Procurement Category Manager with deep IT/Digital expertise to lead strategy, drive transformation and deliver cashable savings for a respected charitable organisation. The role combines hands‑on procurement execution with coaching and mentorship across the wider stakeholder community.

Key responsibilities

• Shape and implement category strategy for IT hardware, software and telecommunications.
• Lead sourcing, tendering and pricing activities to achieve cost efficiencies.
• Oversee contract specifications, renewals and extensions, ensuring GDPR and legal compliance.
• Support and nurture best‑practice procurement and contract‑management processes within the team.
• Advise, train and coach colleagues on procurement methodology and performance standards.

Required profile

• Extensive experience managing procurement of IT systems and services in a business environment.
• Strong market knowledge across multiple IT disciplines – hardware, software, telecom.
• Proven ability to work with eProcurement/P2P platforms and apply project‑management principles.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and procurement best practice.
