Product Engineer - M365 Unified Collaboration & Gen AI

About the role

Barclays is hiring a Product Engineer for M365 Unified Collaboration and Generative AI in Knutsford. The role plays a key part in designing, building and supporting collaboration, productivity, automation and AI-enabled solutions across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. It is a hands-on engineering position focused on delivering high-quality solutions that improve colleague experience and drive business value.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, configure and implement M365 and AI solutions, turning business requirements into scalable technical outcomes.
• Contribute to solution design, troubleshooting, platform optimisation and continuous improvement, keeping solutions secure, resilient and aligned to Barclays engineering standards.
• Work with product managers, architects and other engineers to define IT infrastructure requirements and integrate solutions with business objectives.
• Monitor system performance, identify and resolve issues and use data to reduce mean time to resolution.
• Build automated tasks and processes, and implement secure configurations to protect infrastructure against cyber threats.

Required profile

• Hands-on experience delivering M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, AI agents, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and enterprise automation solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange Online, M365 Groups and Entra ID, including integration and authentication.
• Experience implementing RBAC, DLP, environment management, governance controls and secure operating models.
• Valued: Microsoft Graph, PowerShell and automation, Azure integrations, and GitHub/GitLab, Visual Studio, Jenkins and CI/CD.
• Passion for emerging technologies, delivery mindset and ability to work closely with stakeholders.
