Production & Demand Planner

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Production & Demand Planner to own demand forecasting, production scheduling and inventory control within our growing manufacturing business. You will work closely with Sales, Production, Purchasing and Senior Leadership to build structured planning processes that improve service levels and optimise stock.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using sales history, customer requirements and business trends.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and identify improvement opportunities.
• Create and maintain production schedules to ensure on‑time delivery of customer orders.
• Balance demand against available production capacity and prioritise activities.
• Monitor raw material, packaging and finished‑goods stock levels and mitigate shortages.
• Analyse production capacity, identify bottlenecks and work with operational teams to maximise throughput.
• Act as the central coordination point between Sales, Production, Purchasing and Senior Leadership.
• Design and implement robust planning processes, KPIs and reporting to improve visibility of performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in production planning, demand forecasting or supply‑chain planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable plans.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills – able to influence and challenge across functions.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced setting and driving continuous operational improvements.
