HSE Administrator

About the role

Our client, a traditional engineering company in Slough, is looking for an HSE Administrator on a three‑month contract. You will work closely with the HSE Manager to review and migrate COSHH assessments, Safety Data Sheets and risk assessments from Excel spreadsheets to a new software platform or updated templates, ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Review existing COSHH assessments, SDS and risk assessments for accuracy.
• Transfer and organise HSE data from Excel into designated software platforms or revised templates.
• Verify that all migrated data complies with COSHH regulations and internal policies.
• Collaborate with the HSE Manager and other stakeholders to resolve data inconsistencies or gather missing information.
• Support the rollout and adoption of new HSE database systems.
• Update process documentation and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Previous experience in HSE administration or a similar role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment (desirable but not essential).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel with experience in data management or migration.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong time‑management and prioritisation skills.
• Analytical, solutions‑oriented and able to work both independently and collaboratively.

What we offer

• £14.50 per hour plus holiday pay.
• Standard working hours: 8:15 am‑4:30 pm Monday‑Thursday, finishing at 1:00 pm on Fridays.
