Production Operator

About the role

BAE is looking for Production Operators to join its Glascoed facility. You will help keep the manufacturing line running smoothly by handling materials, supporting inventory control, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the setup, monitoring and maintenance of production and storage equipment.
• Record stock movements, perform cycle counts and manage inventory levels.
• Feed materials to production lines to enable uninterrupted manufacturing.
• Carry out visual quality inspections and test parts using gauge tools.
• Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures, including PPE and SOPs.
• Participate in audits, risk assessments and safety meetings.
• Report hazards or incidents promptly.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives and lean‑process enhancements.

Required profile

• Experience in materials handling, inventory management or similar manufacturing roles.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations in a production environment.
• Knowledge of production machinery is advantageous.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and well‑organised.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow detailed procedures.
• Basic IT competence for data entry and record keeping.
• Relevant numeracy and literacy qualifications (e.g., O‑level standard) preferred.
