Production Shift Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking two Production Shift Supervisors for a fast‑paced machining environment in Bognor Regis. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will lead a team of machinists and production operatives on a rotating treble shift pattern, ensuring targets, quality, health & safety and service levels are met.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support production staff throughout the shift.
• Allocate labour and resources to maximise efficiency and meet production schedules.
• Monitor daily performance, record output and identify improvement opportunities.
• Conduct shift handovers, maintain accurate production reporting and system checks.
• Promote a strong health and safety culture, perform daily inspections and ensure correct PPE usage.
• Report machine breakdowns, quality concerns and support planned preventative maintenance.
• Maintain housekeeping standards, manage attendance, sickness and staff rotas.
• Support employee inductions, training, development and performance management.

Required profile

• Previous supervisory or team‑leader experience in a manufacturing or production setting.
• Ability to work flexibly across all three shift rotations.
• Full UK driving licence and own transport preferred due to site location and shift times.
• Hands‑on, positive leadership style with a focus on continuous improvement.
