Program Quality Engineer

About the role

The Program Quality Engineer will act as the quality representative for a flagship program at Safran Landing Systems’ Gloucester facility, interfacing with customers and internal sites. The role includes supporting investigations, ensuring compliance, and deputising for the Program Quality Manager when required.

Key responsibilities

• Point of contact for FAL, Product Support Engineers and Customer Service to support investigation and traceability requests.
• Lead cross‑functional quality investigations, including root‑cause analysis, immediate containment, and corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare and submit deviations/concessions on QIS.
• Analyse and prepare monthly FAL data for reporting.
• Produce comprehensive reports and presentations for internal and external communication of investigations.
• Prepare and attend weekly customer reviews and other review meetings.
• Liaise with internal functions to undertake quality‑improvement activities that increase customer satisfaction and meet business targets.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, specification and contractual requirements.
• Participate in new product development or industrialisation activities (APQP, PFMEA, DVI, etc.) as required.

Required profile

• Technical qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC or degree).
• Knowledge of aerospace products and procedures (other industries will be considered).
• Demonstrable experience in quality investigations and regulatory compliance.
