Project Engineer – BMS/Controls

About the role

We are seeking a Project Engineer to lead BMS and controls projects from concept through to client handover. You will be the technical go‑to within a fast‑growing energy‑management business, working on commercial and industrial installations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver controls and automation projects from initial enquiry to completion.
• Support the design and development of control and automation systems.
• Collaborate with clients, subcontractors and internal engineering teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Work with a variety of PLC, SCADA and other control/automation platforms.
• Primarily office‑based work with occasional client site visits.

Required profile

• Qualified Electrical Engineer, Controls Engineer, Automation Engineer or Electrical Project Engineer (or similar).
• Motivated to join a rapidly expanding BMS/controls business.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Desire for technical progression and career development.

Required skills

• Experience with PLC programming.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems.
• Knowledge of BMS, HVAC and energy‑management concepts.
• Strong electrical engineering background.
• Ability to manage projects from concept to handover.
