Project Engineer – Controls & Instrumentation

About the role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Engineer specialising in Controls and Instrumentation to join a globally recognised manufacturing business. You will work on high‑profile commercial projects, delivering automation solutions across a range of industries.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, manage and deliver engineering projects from concept to completion, adhering to agreed timescales and budgets.
• Coordinate internal teams, contractors and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.
• Produce technical documentation, reports and regular project updates.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality and safety.
• Support procurement activities through equipment specification reviews and supplier liaison.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Project Engineer, Controls Engineer or Improvement Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, engineering standards and contractor management.
• Degree in Electrical, Controls or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
