Project Management Degree Apprentice

About the role

Babcock is recruiting a Project Management Degree Apprentice based in Devonport, Plymouth. The 4-year programme leads to a BSc in Project Management in partnership with the University of Plymouth, and starts in September 2027. Apprentices work on real projects that are essential to national security, meeting time, cost and quality requirements, and the starting salary is £27,381 with annual increases.

Key responsibilities

• Work on live projects from design and manufacturing to in-service support and capability enhancement, delivering them from start to finish
• Lead multi-skilled teams and manage stakeholder expectations
• Assess risks and apply advanced planning techniques
• Develop presentation, communication, problem-solving and organisational skills

Required profile

• Level 2 English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above (GCSE Maths and English at C or above also acceptable)
• One of: three A Levels at C or above (Maths, Science or IT preferred), a T Level pass, a BTEC Extended Diploma at MMM, or an equivalent Level 3 qualification
• Ability to achieve and maintain BPSS and Security Check (SC) clearance; the post may only be held by a sole UK national
