Project Manager – Engineering Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead engineering projects that support our operational, technical and strategic goals. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams to deliver safe, on‑time, on‑budget solutions of the highest quality.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle from concept to implementation, meeting scope, time, cost and quality targets.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets and resource allocations.
• Facilitate collaboration across Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Quality and external partners.
• Identify, assess and manage risks, issues and dependencies throughout the project.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations and internal governance.
• Implement structured quality processes, including design validation and change control.
• Monitor expenditure, manage budgets and resolve variances.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on status, risks and performance metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and process optimisation.

Required profile

• Proven project management experience in an engineering, manufacturing or technical environment.
• Practical understanding of mechanical, electrical, systems or industrial engineering principles.
• Experience using recognised methodologies such as PRINCE2, PMBOK or APM.
• Relevant engineering or technical qualification (HNC/HND, degree or equivalent).
• Desirable: experience with manufacturing, design or continuous‑improvement methods and formal certification (APM PMQ, PRINCE2, PMP, Agile).
• Knowledge of steam systems, thermal energy solutions or process control technologies.
