Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant (Term‑time)

About the role
We are looking for a recent Psychology graduate to join our specialist SEN setting in Meldreth on a full‑time, term‑time basis. This role offers hands‑on experience supporting children and young people with autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, learning disabilities and SEMH needs.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils with additional learning needs.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging, personalised learning activities.
- Promote positive behaviour using patient, consistent and therapeutic approaches.
- Support pupils' communication, emotional regulation and social development.
- Encourage independence, confidence and participation both inside and outside the classroom.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, parents and other professionals to implement individual learning plans.
- Help maintain a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Required profile
- A degree in Psychology or a related subject.
- Genuine interest in child development, neurodiversity and inclusive education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, empathetic and resilient with a proactive attitude.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, colleagues and families.
