Python Software Engineer – Regulatory Technology

About the role

We are seeking a senior Python Software Engineer to join our regulatory technology team in London. You will create and maintain sophisticated solutions that support compliance and risk‑management functions across a fast‑moving financial services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance regulatory reporting platforms using Python and RPA tools.
• Assess emerging regulatory risks and translate them into technical requirements.
• Implement data quality and assurance processes with SQL and database tooling.
• Optimize existing reporting systems for performance and scalability.
• Provide technical support and collaborate with IT, compliance, operations and business stakeholders.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software development experience, primarily with Python.
• Proven expertise in Robotic Process Automation technologies.
• Strong background in SQL, relational databases and data‑quality frameworks.
• Experience delivering high‑quality solutions in regulated financial environments.
• Ability to work with non‑technical stakeholders and translate business needs into technical designs.
