Qualified Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a qualified accountant to join a well‑established practice in Epsom. The role offers a varied mix of account preparation, tax compliance and, where applicable, audit work, allowing you to work closely with a diverse portfolio of small and medium‑sized businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute audit engagements, supporting junior staff as required.
• Prepare year‑end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Compile and submit personal, partnership and corporate tax returns.
• Manage client bookkeeping, reconciliations and provide tax planning advice.
• Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries and deliver professional guidance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high‑quality client service.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Solid experience preparing accounts and handling tax compliance.
• Prior audit experience (desirable).
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Confident client‑facing communication.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks.
