Qualified Electrician – Social Housing (East London)

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Electrician to join a well‑established social housing contractor covering a large North and East London area. The role involves maintaining safe, compliant electrical systems in resident homes.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installations, repairs and planned maintenance in social housing properties.
• Diagnose faults and resolve issues efficiently.
• Ensure all work complies with current regulations and safety standards.
• Work alongside the wider maintenance team on scheduled and reactive tasks.
• Inspect and test electrical systems to identify risks or remedial work.
• Accurately record job details, materials used and time allocation.
• Provide a professional, customer‑focused service in occupied homes.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry regulations and best practice.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Electrician within social housing or a similar environment.
• NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition and AM2 qualified.
• Strong fault‑finding ability and knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
• Solid understanding of electrical safety and compliance requirements.
• Self‑motivated, reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physically fit and comfortable working across varied property types.
