Qualified QTS Tutor – GCSE Maths/English/Science (Part‑time)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a qualified teacher to deliver GCSE‑level tuition in Maths, English or Science on a flexible, part‑time basis. This temporary position allows you to support young learners while fitting around your existing schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons for GCSE students.
• Plan and tailor personalised lessons to meet individual learning needs.
• Support pupils with a range of abilities, including those with additional learning needs.
• Monitor progress, set achievable targets and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a positive, motivating learning environment.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE in a core subject.
• Experience teaching Maths and/or English at secondary GCSE level.
• Strong subject knowledge and ability to adapt lessons for diverse learners.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.

Required skills

• QTS or PGCE qualification.
