Qualified Social Worker – Family Safeguarding (Bury Council)

About the role
We are recruiting an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Family Safeguarding Team at Bury Council. The role is contract based with a pay rate of £39 per hour and involves three days a week working from the office. You will support families and children, handling court work, child in need (CiN) and child protection (CP) cases.
Key responsibilities
- Assess and manage family safeguarding cases, including CP, CiN and court work.
- Develop and implement safeguarding plans in collaboration with multi‑agency partners.
- Maintain accurate case records and produce required reports.
- Provide professional advice and support to families and other professionals.
Required profile
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration.
- Experience working in family safeguarding or similar public sector settings.
- Ability to work three days per week on‑site in Bury.
- Strong understanding of CP, CiN and court processes.
