Quality Assurance Technologist

About the role
We are looking for a detail‑oriented Quality Assurance Technologist to join IRCA Group’s food manufacturing sites. The successful candidate will ensure product safety, compliance with regulatory standards and customer specifications, and drive continuous improvement in a fast‑moving environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform inspection and testing of finished products and raw materials according to site quality standards.
- Review process control records and conduct calibrations of test equipment.
- Investigate product complaints, evaluate returned materials and implement corrective actions.
- Lead root‑cause analysis using methodologies such as 8‑Step Practical Problem Solving, 3Cs or Fishbone.
- Carry out routine food‑safety and quality inspections, including GMP, hygiene audits, fabrication and foreign‑body checks.
- Support departments during audits and ensure understanding of required standards.
- Facilitate resolution of non‑conformances and participate in crisis‑management processes when required.
- Analyse and report quality performance metrics (KPIs) and identify improvement opportunities.
Required profile
- Strong expertise in quality assurance within food manufacturing.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills to support cross‑functional teams.
