Quality Control Analyst – Temporary (2‑3 months)

About the role

We are looking for a Quality Control (QC) Analyst to join our busy laboratory team on a 2‑3 month temporary contract, with the possibility of a permanent position based on performance. The role is full‑time, site‑based in Cambridge and offers a competitive hourly rate.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare samples and carry out laboratory testing.
• Perform routine quality control testing on raw materials, in‑process samples, and finished products.
• Record, review, and maintain accurate test results and laboratory documentation.
• Assist with laboratory maintenance and equipment checks.
• Follow company quality, health, and safety procedures.
• Support investigations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.
• Collaborate with QC, Production, and other departments to meet operational targets.

Required profile

• Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline (preferred).
• Previous laboratory or quality control experience in a scientific, chemical, or pharmaceutical environment (advantageous).
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Immediate availability or short notice period preferred.

Required skills

• Gas Chromatography (GC) – essential.
• High‑Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) – desirable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £18.50‑£20.50 (DOE).
