About the role
The Quality Improvement and Performance Lead will join the Mental Health Directorate of NHS Dumfries and Galloway, supporting the delivery of high‑quality, sustainable mental health services. Working with a high degree of autonomy, the role focuses on embedding quality improvement principles across clinical teams to enhance patient outcomes and staff experience.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive quality improvement framework with a continuous learning loop.
- Design and maintain a performance reporting system aligned with national strategic drivers and the directorate’s mission.
- Provide data‑driven recommendations that support financial governance and sustainability.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to embed improvement initiatives and monitor their impact.
- Report progress to senior mental health management and contribute to strategic planning.
Required profile
- Proven experience in quality improvement within a healthcare setting, preferably mental health.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills to influence and engage multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently while aligning with organisational objectives.
