About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, self‑motivated Quality Improvement Lead to join the Clinical and Care Governance Unit at University Hospital Crosshouse. This second‑ment position runs until 1 December 2026 and offers a 36‑hour work week, supporting internal NHS Ayrshire & Arran staff in delivering safe, effective, person‑centred care.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Acute Quality Improvement Team, ensuring optimal use of resources.
- Collaborate with senior management and clinical leaders to drive improvement programmes.
- Work with multidisciplinary ward and departmental teams to implement change.
- Develop and deliver Quality Improvement education across NHS Ayrshire & Arran.
- Shape and influence quality improvement approaches that underpin safe, effective care.
Required profile
- Strong communication and engagement skills, able to work with teams at all levels.
- Independent, initiative‑driven with a proven ability to lead change.
- Recognised Quality Improvement qualification or significant QI experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- UK driving licence (essential).
