Quality Inspector – Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team in Chester. You will play a vital role in ensuring that all incoming materials, in‑process items and finished products meet the required specifications and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out detailed inspections of incoming materials, in‑process production, and finished goods.
• Verify that products conform to customer specifications, engineering drawings and quality standards.
• Record and maintain accurate inspection data and quality documentation.
• Identify, contain and report non‑conforming products in line with procedures.
• Support root‑cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Collaborate with production and quality engineering teams to resolve quality issues efficiently.
• Use a range of inspection and measurement equipment such as callipers, micrometres, gauges and CMM where applicable.
• Assist with internal audits and ensure compliance with company and industry quality standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Quality Inspector or in a similar inspection role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of quality control processes and inspection techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Manufacturing or engineering background preferred.

Required skills

• Use of precision measuring equipment (callipers, micrometres, gauges, CMM).
• Interpretation of technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with inspection tools and documentation.
