Quality Manager – Manufacturing (Defence)

About the role

The Quality Manager will join Rolls‑Royce's Defence Manufacturing team in Bristol, supporting new production for the JSF Lift System and component repair activities. You will work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment, ensuring the highest standards of quality across all operations.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Production Leadership Team to guarantee compliance with external regulations and Rolls‑Royce internal management system requirements.
• Lead the 8D problem‑resolution process, coach colleagues in its use, and conduct investigations when needed.
• Manage mandatory MRO occurrence reporting (DASOR), human‑factors investigations (MEDA) and action reports (MARS).
• Deploy and embed quality improvement tools and techniques into daily plant operations, supporting the Rolls‑Royce Production System.
• Maintain a visual governance structure that displays plant quality performance and drives corrective actions.

Required profile

• Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 and/or AS/EN 9100/9110.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to analyse and solve complex problems.
• Strong leadership qualities, including influencing, priority setting, conflict resolution and relationship building.
• Demonstrated ability to promote continuous improvement.
