Quality Manager – Projects (QMiP)

About the role

The Quality Manager in Projects (QMiP) ensures that all project activities across the GT Service business in the UK & Ireland meet Siemens Energy quality standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements. Working closely with Project Managers and Commercial Project Managers, you will embed quality principles throughout the entire project lifecycle, from planning to close‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project and Commercial Project Managers to integrate quality objectives into planning, execution, and decision‑making.
• Develop, implement and maintain Project Quality Plans aligned with Siemens Energy, customer and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct assurance, auditing and inspection activities to ensure compliance with quality standards and contractual obligations.
• Identify, assess and manage quality‑related risks, non‑conformances and corrective/preventive actions.
• Serve as the primary quality interface for customers, suppliers and certification bodies, handling audits and quality communications.
• Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned, sharing best practices and supporting process optimisation.

Required profile

• Practical experience in quality management within engineering, service or transmission & distribution project environments.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems, especially ISO 9001, and experience supporting audits and inspections.
• Proven ability to apply quality tools such as root cause analysis, corrective actions and risk‑based thinking.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills across project, supplier and customer interfaces.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Relevant technical or quality qualification; auditor certification is a plus.
