About the role

Join Trant Engineering and help shape the delivery of complex, high‑impact projects. Trant Engineering is a leading EPC contractor with a strong reputation for innovative engineering solutions across the UK and internationally. The company is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support commercial and contract management within its project delivery teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the administration of contracts, pricing, forecasting costs and preparation of tender documents, budgets and bills of quantities.
• Support the preparation and management of variations, compensation events and change orders, and provide guidance on contractual obligations.
• Administer subcontractor contracts, applications for payment and variations, and produce subcontract procurement schedules.
• Maintain accurate project records, ensure compliance with company policies and client standards, and identify commercial risks.
• Collaborate with project managers, site managers and finance teams to support commercial decision‑making and stakeholder engagement.

Required profile

• Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor on engineering, construction or utilities projects, with knowledge of UK contract forms, especially NEC4.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across projects.
• Proficiency in Excel, including formulas and pivot tables.

Required skills

• NEC4 contract form knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables).
