Quantity Surveyor – Planned Works & Voids

About the role

Axis CLC is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its Southampton team, supporting a live social housing maintenance framework. The role focuses on planned maintenance and void refurbishment works within a Schedule of Rates environment, providing commercial management across a live framework contract.

Key responsibilities

• Carrying out site surveys and assessing planned maintenance and void refurbishment works
• Preparing scopes of works, specifications and cost estimates
• Measuring, pricing and valuing works using NHF / SM7 Schedule of Rates frameworks
• Reviewing variations, identifying commercial risks and supporting cost control across the contract
• Producing accurate valuations and commercially robust pricing submissions within agreed deadlines
• Reviewing drawings, client requirements and subcontractor quotations
• Supporting Operational and Commercial teams during mobilisation and live contract delivery
• Liaising with client representatives, contract managers and operational teams to support effective project delivery
• Maintaining accurate commercial records, pricing documentation and reporting information
• Ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory and health & safety requirements

Required profile

• Proven experience in maintenance or social housing quantity surveying
• Strong knowledge of measured term contracts and Schedule of Rates (SOR) commercial management
• Experience in planned maintenance environments
