Real Estate Lawyer – Public Law & Projects

About the role

G2 Legal Limited is seeking a qualified Real Estate Lawyer to join its nationally recognised Public Law & Projects team. The role focuses on high‑profile public‑sector developments and infrastructure schemes across England and Wales, offering exposure to complex, large‑scale transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on large‑scale regeneration and development projects.
• Handle infrastructure, energy and heat‑network initiatives.
• Manage PFI and long‑term development arrangements.
• Draft and negotiate complex real‑estate transactions involving procurement and subsidy considerations.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and support business development.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues and mentor junior team members where appropriate.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales.
• At least 3 years post‑qualification experience with a strong real‑estate transactional background.
• Excellent drafting and transactional abilities.
• Proven capacity to manage complex matters and competing deadlines.
• Commercial, practical problem‑solving approach and strong communication skills.
• Interest in public‑sector, regeneration, infrastructure or development work; public‑sector experience is a plus but not essential.
