Receptionist / Clerical Officer – Single Point of Access

About the role

The Single Point of Access (SPOA) within Community Services Bury is expanding and needs a resilient, self‑motivated Receptionist/Clerical Officer. You will provide front‑line reception and administrative support, handling referrals, appointments and telephone queries for healthcare professionals and service users.

Key responsibilities

• Answer a high volume of telephone calls and respond to queries.
• Process referrals and input patient data onto the SystmOne system.
• Book, amend and cancel appointments and clinic sessions.
• Perform general office duties such as scanning, filing and data entry.
• Rotate between the central SPOA hub and community reception sites.

Required profile

• Resilient, robust and able to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills with healthcare professionals and the public.
• Ability to work on a rota, including occasional weekends.
• Commitment to confidentiality and high‑quality administrative standards.

Required skills

• Good IT proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Working knowledge of the SystmOne clinical system.
