About the role

Poten & Partners is seeking a friendly and organised Receptionist/Office Administrator to manage the front‑desk of its London office and provide administrative support to the global team.

Key responsibilities

  • Man the reception desk and switchboard at all times, greeting visitors and handling calls.
  • Operate the switchboard, screen and forward calls, and take accurate messages.
  • Reserve and prepare meeting rooms via Outlook, including catering and presentation setup.
  • Maintain tidy, well‑stocked reception, meeting rooms and kitchen areas.
  • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail and organise outgoing couriers.
  • Handle general administration tasks such as ordering supplies, reporting facilities issues, booking reservations and assisting with employee expense administration.
  • Keep attendance records and provide support to the Office EA when needed.

Required profile

  • Excellent organisational abilities and a "can‑do" attitude.
  • Previous experience in a receptionist or customer‑service role is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, methodically and as part of a small admin team.
  • Professional, mature demeanor with solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Reliability, good time‑keeping and a proactive approach.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
