Recruitment Consultant – Healthcare Communications

About the role

Carrot Recruitment is seeking a Recruitment Consultant to join its Healthcare Communications desk. Based in Manchester with occasional work from the Cheadle office, you will manage the junior‑to‑mid‑level candidate pipeline across medical communications, education, advertising and PR, supporting senior consultants and helping to grow the business.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand hiring needs and brief requirements.
• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment for junior and mid‑level roles in the Healthcare Communications sector.
• Screen, register and maintain strong relationships with candidates, keeping the database current.
• Prepare and format CVs for client submission.
• Proactively present suitable candidates to clients and suggest alternative opportunities.
• Support senior consultants and collaborate within a small, focused team.
• Develop market knowledge of healthcare communications trends and client landscapes.
• Participate in business development activities as you progress.

Required profile

• Strong interest in healthcare communications and recruitment.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple candidate pipelines.
• Motivated to take ownership of a desk from day one.
• Willingness to work both in the office (Tuesday, Thursday) and remotely (Monday, Wednesday, Friday).
