Recruitment & HR Coordinator – Edinburgh

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Recruitment & HR Coordinator to join our Edinburgh (Newbridge) head office. In this position you will support the people function by managing recruitment processes and delivering day‑to‑day HR administration throughout the employee lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for recruitment and HR queries from managers and staff.
• Coordinate end‑to‑end recruitment activities, including vacancy posting, shortlisting, interview scheduling, offer issuance and pre‑employment checks.
• Facilitate onboarding by preparing contracts, conducting right‑to‑work checks, organising inductions and arranging system access.
• Maintain accurate employee records in HR systems, ensuring GDPR compliance and data integrity.
• Process HR transactions such as new starters, leavers, contract changes and probation reviews.
• Support managers with recruitment best practices and provide guidance on HR procedures.
• Assist with absence management, training coordination, compliance checks and mandatory documentation.
• Prepare HR letters, reports and contribute to employee engagement initiatives.

Required profile

• Organised, proactive and able to build strong relationships across the business.
• Previous experience in recruitment, HR or HR administration.
• Good understanding of recruitment processes and general HR administration.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional and approachable demeanor.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HR systems and Microsoft Office.
