Regional Director of Places

About the role

The Regional Director of Places will lead integrated, neighbourhood‑based services across a defined region, ensuring customers receive consistent, high‑quality support that is responsive to local needs. Reporting to senior leadership, you will translate organisational strategy into effective local delivery while balancing standardisation with community‑specific priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, sustainable neighbourhoods.
• Translate corporate strategy into actionable local plans and monitor performance.
• Drive continuous improvement and accountability for service outcomes.
• Build trust with communities, partners and stakeholders through visible leadership and engagement.
• Oversee tenancy management, community safety initiatives and customer engagement programmes.
• Represent the organisation in regional forums and influence local priorities.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience with strong operational performance in a complex, customer‑focused environment.
• Significant experience managing place‑based or geographically dispersed services.
• Demonstrated ability to work in matrix or multi‑disciplinary settings.
• Deep understanding of housing management, neighbourhood services, tenancy management and community safety.
