Regional Legal Director (Commercial Property)

About the role

This senior position leads the northern region of a national law firm’s commercial property practice. The Regional Legal Director will shape strategy, drive business growth and ensure the delivery of high‑quality legal services across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing commercial property team in the north.
• Manage a diverse caseload including leases, sales, purchases and re‑mortgages for both registered and unregistered, leasehold and freehold properties.
• Champion business development initiatives and build lasting client relationships.
• Oversee the strategic direction of the regional offices and contribute to firm‑wide objectives.
• Maintain strong time‑management and organisational standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years post‑qualification experience in commercial property law.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire a legal team.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
• Demonstrated track record in business development.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using case management systems.
