Registered Nurse – Accident and Emergency

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join the Emergency & Urgent Care Team at Withybush General Hospital. The role involves delivering rapid, high‑quality care to critically ill or injured patients within a supportive, team‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, triage and treat patients presenting with emergency and urgent care needs.
• Provide dynamic interventions for critically ill or injured individuals.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary staff to ensure seamless patient care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to departmental protocols.
• Participate in continuous professional development and training activities.

Required profile

• Current NMC registration with evidence of ongoing professional development.
• Desire to work in an Accident & Emergency or Urgent Care setting.
• Experience in an acute care environment is desirable but not mandatory.
• Ability to speak Welsh is advantageous; English speakers are equally welcome.
• Must be currently employed by Hywel Dda University Health Board.

Required skills

• NMC registration.
• Knowledge of emergency department procedures.
• Acute care experience (preferred).
