Registered Nurse – Night Shift

About the role

Avery Healthcare Group is looking for a compassionate Registered Nurse to work the night shift (19:00‑07:30) at Birchmere House Care Home in Solihull. You will provide high‑quality care to elderly residents and act as the person in charge when the manager is absent.

Key responsibilities

• Stand in for the manager and ensure high standards of resident care.
• Administer medication, perform dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and manage chronic medical conditions.
• Communicate changes in residents' conditions to families and GPs.
• Supervise and deploy care staff throughout the night shift.
• Conduct accurate assessments and develop care plans.

Required profile

• Current NMC registration with a first‑level nursing qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in elderly care.
• Relevant post‑basic studies or qualifications.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to instruct and demonstrate care activities.
• Commitment to the values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable.
