Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician (RME)

About the role

The Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team at Amazon ensures critical machinery runs continuously across fulfillment sites. As an RME Technician you will perform preventative maintenance, react to equipment failures, and support a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out proactive and preventative maintenance on a wide range of site equipment.
• Diagnose and repair faults in a live distribution warehouse.
• Utilise the latest tools to maximise equipment effectiveness.
• Uphold all health and safety policies and practices.
• Support on‑site apprentices and contribute to continuous‑improvement projects.
• Collaborate with senior colleagues and external contractors as needed.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3, SVQ Level 3 or IVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
• Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
• Ability to work shifts, including early, late or night hours, to minimise operational disruption.

Required skills

• Use of maintenance tools and equipment.
• Fault diagnosis and reactive repair techniques.
• Preventative maintenance procedures.
