Remanufacturing Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Remanufacturing Technician to join our specialist automotive electronics team in Colchester. The role involves diagnosing and repairing electronic components at both unit and PCB level while mentoring junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair automotive electronic components using specialist diagnostic equipment and software.
• Perform PCB‑level repairs, soldering and component replacement to restore original performance.
• Lead, mentor and support technicians, sharing best practices and technical guidance.
• Identify and implement process improvements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct end‑of‑line testing and quality inspections to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Maintain technical documentation and collaborate with engineering colleagues to enhance repair techniques.

Required profile

• Strong practical knowledge of electronics and fault finding.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with PCB‑level soldering and electronic component replacement.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop technical staff.
