Retail Assistant – Part‑Time (Scunthorpe)

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and reliable Retail Assistant to join our Farmfoods store in Scunthorpe on a permanent part‑time basis. You will work a minimum of 8 hours across two days each week, including occasional weekends, providing excellent customer service and supporting store operations.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile, assist them in locating products and answer queries.
• Operate the tills efficiently, handle transactions and pack purchases.
• Receive deliveries, unload stock, stock freezers and shelves, and maintain product rotation.
• Keep the shop clean, tidy and safe by following daily and weekly routines.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations.

Required profile

• Positive, hard‑working attitude and enjoyment of a busy environment.
• Reliability and flexibility to cover shifts when needed.
• Ability to work well within a small team and follow scheduled rotas.
• Willingness to undergo an Employment Verification check.

Required skills

• Customer service and communication.
• Basic cash handling and till operation.
• Stock handling and basic health‑and‑safety awareness.
