Retail Digital Applications Specialist (MDM & In‑Store Tech)

About the role

We are seeking an expert in Mobile Device Management to lead the digital and mobile applications for a major retail brand across the UK and Europe. The role focuses on managing a fleet of iOS devices using Airwatch (VMware Workspace ONE) and supporting the broader in‑store digital ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a fleet of 2,500+ iOS devices via Airwatch MDM, handling app signing, certificate maintenance, software updates and security configurations across UK and EMEA markets.
• Collaborate with Tech Operations and Global Infrastructure teams to support Meraki Wi‑Fi networks, manage IP addressing and troubleshoot retail telecom and network services.
• Act as the technical point of contact for in‑store digital solutions, including digital signage CMS, in‑store audio, workforce management tools and digital receipt systems.
• Serve as the escalation point for incidents beyond L1/L2 service desks and work closely with Business Analysts and brand stakeholders to translate technical concepts into business solutions.
• Maintain reference documentation, run compliance reports and apply change‑management processes to ensure software updates cause zero disruption to store trade.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience with Mobile Device Management platforms, specifically Airwatch/Workspace ONE.
• Deep familiarity with the Apple iOS ecosystem, including app signing and certificate management.
• Experience supporting macOS and Windows 10/11 environments.
• Basic understanding of networking principles and Wi‑Fi security; Meraki experience is a strong plus.
• Ability to act as an L2/L3 bridge for the digital ecosystem and handle escalations.
