Revenue Controller – Law Firm (Hybrid, London)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Revenue Controller to support the financial operations of a leading London‑based law firm. Working hybrid with three days a week in the office, you will act as the main point of contact for all revenue‑related activities, ensuring accurate billing, timely collections and strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead regular WIP review meetings with partners and fee earners to drive timely invoicing and monitor aged WIP.
• Set monthly billing targets and forecasts using historic trends and partner input.
• Prepare and issue bills, process time and cost transfers, narrative amendments, write‑offs and credit notes in the 3E system.
• Maintain up‑to‑date billing instructions and client details, and distribute completed invoices.
• Monitor aged debts, follow up overdue invoices and resolve payment issues while preserving client relationships.
• Escalate payment delays or disputes and support monthly collections forecasting.
• Produce regular and ad‑hoc reports on accounts receivable, WIP, collections and cash receipts.
• Collaborate with the eBilling Support Team to submit e‑bills, troubleshoot rejections and adhere to client‑specific billing guidelines.

Required profile

• Proven experience in revenue, billing or credit control within a law firm.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with partners, fee earners and clients.
• Detail‑oriented with a proactive approach to improving cash flow and billing efficiency.
