RF Applications Engineer

About the role

The RF Applications Engineer will act as the trusted technical advisor to sales teams and customers, bridging commercial and engineering functions. Working with the company’s optical telecoms product portfolio, you will engage early in customer projects, design solutions, and build confidence through to design completion.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand requirements and develop concept system designs using the company’s optical telecoms products.
• Collaborate with internal subject‑matter experts to produce detailed design packs and coordinate internal and external reviews.
• Provide technical support to all divisional sales teams on new and non‑standard optical system quotes.
• Assist field sales teams in identifying new design‑in opportunities across the telecommunications product range.
• Deliver presentations and demonstrations to customers and their technical teams.

Required profile

• Strong fundamentals in RF engineering.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently to support sales cycles.
• Comfort engaging with customers early in the problem space and translating requirements into technical solutions.
• Willingness to collaborate with R&D and other internal experts.
