Risk & Compliance Officer – London

About the role

Banco Sabadell is seeking a Risk & Compliance Officer for its London branch. You will support the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Compliance frameworks, ensuring alignment with UK regulatory expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation and enhancement of the ERM framework in line with ISO 31000 and COSO.
• Maintain risk registers, incident registers, risk & control matrices and KRIs, providing accurate monitoring and reporting.
• Perform second‑line controls, prepare risk committee materials and follow‑up on actions.
• Develop, review and monitor policies, procedures and internal control frameworks.
• Implement and maintain the Operational Resilience Framework according to PRA and FCA requirements.
• Execute AML, KYC, CDD and EDD processes, including transaction screening and alert management.
• Support regulatory change management, compliance monitoring and regulatory reporting.
• Collect, analyse and visualise risk and compliance data using Power BI.

Required profile

• Experience in risk management, compliance and financial crime controls within a banking environment.
• Familiarity with UK regulatory bodies (FCA, PRA) and relevant frameworks (ISO 31000, COSO).
• Ability to work with risk registers, KRIs and internal control documentation.
• Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and reporting.

Required skills

• Power BI for data visualisation and reporting.
• Knowledge of ISO 31000 and COSO risk management frameworks.
• Proficiency in AML, KYC, CDD and EDD processes.
