Roadside Rescue Mechanic – Patrol

About the role

As a Roadside Rescue Mechanic you’ll be the friendly face of the UK’s largest motoring organisation, helping members get back on the road safely, anytime and in any weather.

Key responsibilities

• Start and finish each shift from your own driveway, travelling to breakdown locations across varied locations and conditions.
• Work independently while remaining part of a supportive team.
• Use technical knowledge and clear communication to deliver a positive customer experience.
• Diagnose and resolve roadside issues on the spot, employing calm problem‑solving skills.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent experience.
• Full Category B driving licence with six points or fewer.
• Comfort with new technology and mobile tools.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
