Sales Order Processor

About the role

The Sales Order Processor will ensure that customer orders are entered, verified and progressed efficiently from enquiry to delivery. Working closely with the sales, production and warehouse teams, you will provide accurate order handling while delivering a high level of customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Enter and process customer sales orders accurately and promptly.
• Check order details for completeness and verify accuracy before submission.
• Communicate order status, delivery dates and product information to customers via phone and email.
• Coordinate with production and warehouse to meet customer requirements and schedule deliveries.
• Prepare quotations and related sales documentation when required.
• Maintain up-to-date customer records and order files.
• Resolve order-related issues and escalate complex problems as needed.
• Support stock checks, scheduling and occasional reporting tasks.

Required profile

• Previous experience in sales administration, order processing or customer service.
• Experience in a manufacturing, engineering or production environment is advantageous.
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

What we offer

• Competitive salary £27,000‑£30,000 per annum.
• Full-time permanent contract, Monday‑Friday 8:00‑17:00.
