About the role
We are seeking a reliable School Cook to join our team in Chester on a temporary basis, starting in September. The role involves preparing nutritious meals for pupils and staff during term time, with flexible hours that fit around your schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and serve hot and cold meals for the school cafeteria.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety.
- Manage stock, order supplies and ensure kitchen cleanliness.
- Cover staff absences and adapt to varying shift patterns, including occasional evenings or weekends.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a chef or cook, preferably in a school or catering environment.
- Passion for food and ability to work efficiently under time pressure.
- Valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Flexibility to work a mix of shifts during term time.

What we offer
